JBL OneOS: Sound

JBL OneOS is an IoT platform based on JBL product lineups, designed to provide users with a seamless connected sound experience. JBL Sound Experience design project aims to assist in the process of frequency calibration for sound systems, offering users a more pleasant and immersive Out-of-Box Experience.

Overview

JBL speakers commonly feature an audio frequency range from 50Hz to 20kHz, making it essential to ensure sound designs fully encompass JBL's complete frequency spectrum. The tuning of JBL speakers tends to emphasize mid to low frequencies, catering to the typical JBL user's preference for powerful bass. As a result, sound designs incorporate an enhanced bass element, making the lower frequencies more pronounced and engaging.

Sound Texture

JBL sound systems consistently utilize acoustic guitars and basses to craft classic startup chimes, BLE connection tones, and various notification sounds. The OOBE calibration tones and other JBL auditory tones maintain consistency by employing acoustic guitars and bass, enhanced with a reverse effect. The addition of mono-reverb amplifies the sense of space, delivering a 'wow' moment to our users.
